Bio-Rad Trans-Blot Turbo™ Transfer System
The Trans-Blot Turbo is a high-performance semi-dry western blot transfer system that transfers proteins from polyacrylamide gels onto membranes in as little as 3 minutes — dramatically faster than traditional tank blotting, which typically takes 1–2 hours. The compact benchtop unit houses two independent blotting cassettes, capable of processing up to four mini-gels or two midi-gels simultaneously.
The system features 25 user-programmable protocols plus several preprogrammed methods optimized for different molecular weight ranges. It supports nitrocellulose, PVDF, and low-fluorescence PVDF membranes, and is compatible with Bio-Rad's ready-to-use Transfer Packs as well as traditional semi-dry consumables (filter paper and Towbin buffer). Built-in safety features include automatic load detection, power-failure alerts, and an integrated cooling fan. The result is a fast, reproducible, and high-throughput protein transfer workflow that significantly accelerates western blot experiments.
