Invitrogen™ Qubit 4 Fluorometer
The Qubit 4 Fluorometer is a compact benchtop instrument designed for fast, accurate quantification of DNA, RNA, and protein concentrations using fluorescent dye-based assays. Unlike traditional UV absorbance methods (such as Nanodrop), the Qubit uses target-selective fluorescent dyes that bind specifically to the molecule of interest, providing highly accurate readings even at very low concentrations or in the presence of contaminants.
In addition to concentration measurement, the Qubit 4 can assess RNA integrity and quality — a critical step before downstream applications such as sequencing or gene expression analysis. The device features an intuitive color touchscreen interface for quick assay selection and delivers results within seconds, requiring only 1–20 µL of sample per measurement.
