Thermo Scientific™ NanoDrop One Spectrophotometer
The NanoDrop One is a standalone micro-volume UV-Vis spectrophotometer that measures DNA, RNA, and protein concentrations from as little as 1 µL of sample placed on a pedestal surface — no cuvettes required. Operating across a wavelength range of 190–850 nm, it delivers results in approximately 8 seconds and can measure dsDNA concentrations up to 27,500 ng/µL.
A key differentiator is the built-in Acclaro Sample Intelligence technology, which analyzes the full UV-Vis spectrum to automatically identify common contaminants (such as phenol or residual protein in nucleic acid preps) and provides corrected concentration values. The instrument features a 7-inch HD color touchscreen and runs independently without a separate computer. It includes pre-configured methods for nucleic acid quantification (A260), protein assays (A280, BCA, Bradford, Lowry), and supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity for data export.
